Lead Conversations That CAN Change the World

  • Lead and advocate in a new and powerful way!
  • Find allies beyond your base!
  • Bring divergent views together to mobilize public opinion and promote positive policy outcomes!
  • Be more persuasive with legislators!
  • Get beyond spin, propaganda and compromise and put Transpartisan and Integral concepts to work in your everyday communication!
  • Better navigate interviews with reporters and “unfriendly audiences”!

In your work to educate the public, advocate for change, and communicate through the media and your own materials, you deal with the progressive and conservative worldviews and values that are polarizing the American psyche and political landscape. Challenge yourself to explore those mindsets of people with very different ideas about the world. Learn how to turn experiences that usually leave you frustrated and stumped into opportunities to bridge the divide and become a more effective and influential communicator.

You will learn polarity management, a technique to:

  • Authentically understand diversity of opinion and work with perceived “enemies”
  • Create messages that bring people together by aligning along shared values
  • Move to a higher level of competency introducing a wider audience to your work and advocating for your goals
  • Successfully get beyond the proverbial “choir” and honestly and effectively express your vision so that everyone, regardless of their worldview, can “get it”!

Media in the Public Interest’s one-of-a-kind, full-day strategic communications training was developed by Lark Corbeil of Public News Service, Patty Beach of LeadershipSmarts.com and True North Programs and Eric Haas of Cognitive Strategies and the Rockridge Institute.
